Annual Book & Author Luncheon
Mystery, intrigue and introspection will be on the menu at our 6th Annual Book and Author luncheon! The event takes place Saturday, May 12th. at the Peninsula Golf and Country Club.
We are fortunate to have THREE outstanding authors this year.
Gary Pomerantz is a nationally known non-fiction writer and journalist. His latest book, The Devil’s Tickets, recounts the contract bridge craze of the Roaring 20’s, a sensational murder trial and a cast of unforgettable true life characters.
Cara Black is a best-selling mystery writer whose most recent book, Murder in Passy, continues the Parisian adventures of female private investigator Aimée Léduc.
June Lamb, a family therapist, provides guidance and inspiration through the lens of her compelling personal story in The Learning Journey: Absorbring Life’s Lessons.
The Book and Author luncheon is our signature event. The funds we raise enable the Burlingame Library Foundation to fulfill its mission of providing support for its two libraries - the main library on Primrose Road and the Easton Branch. These libraries serve the Burlingame and Hillsborough communities. Proceeds from the event help keep the Library’s budget sufficient to meet demand, ensuring that access to classes, databases, collections, and special events are available to those who need them.
