Book Sales

The Burlingame Library Foundation raises more than half its operating budget directly from the sale of used books & media of all types. The majority of the books & media are donated from the general public. A portion are ex-library books removed from the collection.

Books are available for sale every day that the main library is open. The book sale area is immediately behind the circulation desk

In addition to our daily sales, the Foundation holds regular sales events throughout the year.  In addition the Foundation holds a one day Summer Reading sale in June on the front patio.

Four Day Semi Annual Sales:

The two main semi-annual sales are held in the early Spring, typically April, and in the Fall, typically October.  

Our next 4 day event is scheduled for April 19th - April 22nd in the Lane Community Room, Burlingame Main Library, 480 Primrose Road, Burlingame, CA.

• Thursday April 19 3:00pm - 6:00pm $5.00 admission
• Friday April 20 3:00pm - 6:00pm free admission
• Saturday April 21 10:00 am - 4:00pm free admission
• Sunday April 22 12:00 am to 4:00 pm free admission; Bag of books $6

One Day Patio Sales:

We have scheduled several one day sales held on the front patio of the main library in the summer months. 

Our next one day is tentatively scheduled for May 26th 2012 from 10:00am to 4:00pm.

Fresh Market:

The Burlingame Library Foundation will have a small booth at the Burlingame Fresh Market, Park Road on several Sundays during the year. We will have a small collection of popular books for sale and will be accepting donations.

Green Fair:

The Burlingame Library Foundation is proud to support the Citizens Environmental Council and has had a booth at the annual green fair where we encourage everyone to buy, read and recycle their books through the Burlingame Library Foundation.  The Green Fair is held in September.
