While the City pays for the library’s expenses such as salaries and materials, the Foundation supplements that funding in areas where the library deems it will have the greatest impact.

Fund contributions from the Foundation to Burlingame Library augment the budget provided by the City of Burlingame to help Burlingame remain a well-curated library collection that provides popular, educational, and entertaining materials. As a result, the Burlingame Library continues to meet the ever-increasing demand for entertaining and free educational programs in our local community thanks to its programs which are fully funded by the Foundation.
